A Mission

[Scarlet]

Scar turned to face Firestripe.
" Well.... Follow me to my cabin and I'll tell you..."
"And Skip," She said to Skip before she left " Tell Celeron that I love the pot and ladle very much." Her face went a little pink in the cheeks before she hurried down to her cabin.

[Firestripe]

*Firestripe noted how odd the captain was acting at the moment. Now she wasn't acting worried as much as... well, Firestripe couldn't quite place it. She was just acting strange. He didn't say anything as he followed her to the cabin and when the reached there and where inside, he closed the door behind him. He then turned to her and asked the question of the hour.* "Ok, seriously. What's going on? I don't mean any disrespect but your acting all... strange, captain. What's wrong?" *He was getting worried himself at this point, it was very unlike Scarlet to act anything but rocksolid like she usually did.*

[Scarlet]

Scar leaned on the desk. " I...I think Celeron likes me." She said slowly. "What am I supposed to do?"

(OOC: Sorry its extremely short, have to go shopping today...)

[Firestripe]

*Firestripe just stared at Scarlet for a few seconds before finding his voice so he could reply.* "Wh- you mean... he like, like likes you?" *He said in confusion. That was completely out of the ordinary. Usually beasts tended to get with beasts that were actually within the same species. Its seemed only fitting that the captain would eventually get with another fox if anybeast at all.* "But... he's an otter..." *Firestripe just didn't get it. At all.*

[Scarlet]

Scar sighed. " I know... Its wierd... What am I supposed to do about this?" She asked, obviously lost as to how to handle the situation at paw.

[Firestripe]

*Firestripe was at a loss. He didn't have a solution to Scarlet's problem and he didn't know why she thought he would.* "I- I have no idea, I've never actually had anybeast like me so... I don't know how you'd break it to him that you don't feel the same... unless you do, of course..." *He had no idea as to whether Scarlet actually liked Celeron back. If she did then, well, that was her decision and Firestripe would still follow her orders all the same. Even so, Firestripe didn't know if he would ever actually think of her the same way if that were the case. He would just have to get use to it.*

[Scarlet]

Scar looked bewildered for a moment. " Me, like him back? Well, I like him well enough, but not in the same way he likes me. More like just a friend...I just don't know what he'll do when he knows I don't like, like him back....." She sighed, obviously at a loss for ideas. "Maybe....maybe I should just pretend like I don't know." She said, hesitantly.

[Firestripe]

*Firestripe thought about it for a moment, not sure of what Scarlet should do and still unsure as to why she thought he would know.* "Well... maybe you should act like he's a friend but nothing more. He'd eventually get the picture, I would hope, and that would be that. Or you could straight up tell him how it is, that he's a friend but it stops there. I dunno... it just doesn't seem right." *Indeed, it was strange that an otter would fall for a fox. He just hoped that when Celeron figured it out, he would go crazy or anything like that.*

[Skipper Of Sea Otters]

((Oh By the way... Skip hasn't revealed Celeron's real name yet. You just know him as Undertaker right now))

The Skipper saw Celeron standing on the railing of the ship, looking out towards where land would be. The Skipper walked over to him...at which point he was looking at Celeron's knees. "Celeron...I gotta talk to ya." Alright Skipper..." he said plainly hopping back to the deck with a loud thud of the wood. "Now Celeron...You must really like Scarlet...aye?"he asked him. Celeron looked at the skipper. "Yes..." he said in answer for Celeron. "...now. I know you must like the lass...but...what if the lass doesn't like ya' back?" Celeron looked at the skipper giving the rare smile. "I Dont care...She doesn't have to like me back...I will protect her and tend to whatever she needs...such is how a fine best such as herself should be treated..." The skipper sighed. "Okay mate...whatever you say...tis your life to live, Live it how you think you must..."
