Basically, this is just something I'm always sort of curious when I join a new Redwall club (which, granted, I haven't done for some time). Since, I first started RPing a long time again, at a site called the Salamandastron Dance. Course, I haven't done much since then, but I was just wondering if anybody else remembers it. I always figured it would be pretty neat if it turned out we used to know each other through different characters.

Well, I only started Rping in the summer of '06, I think August, but anyway, I have never heard of the Rping site Salamandastron Dance. I have Rped at The Myths of Redwall, infact it was my first RP site ever. Anybody ever get on that one before? When I first started Rping, I didn't really Rp. It was more of a social chat thing for me. Then I left it and started actually Rping on Lancepaw's. Last year I went back to TMOR, telling myself I had to help keep the site alive, it was the first RP site I had ever been on. So I went back, started a thread and bang! After the first reply it hit me that no one on the site even knew one of the most important rules of RP; never god-mode! The guy who replied, well, completely took control of my character! I told him about the god-moding, and how it was not really acceptable, he got mad and deleted the thread and I have never gone back to that site again.

Well, that's a... um.... lovely memory. The Salamandastron Dance, or Sali, is long gone now, but it was much of the same thing. Chat that is. With a lot of newbies ignorant of, or unwilling to follow, the rules. I have fond memories of terrorizing them with Silverstreak. Ahh, good times.

Yeah, sorry I like to post long real-life online stories. You'll get used to me posting them all the time, eventually! Thats cool, I am like, addicted to Rping. I Rp all the time here, and sometimes on an LOTR site I own, though we don't have that many members there yet, even though it is like more than half a year old. Ah, so many memories are formed in Rping online.

Yeah, it started off as a nice story then turned into a story without a happy ending. That's what would always (and still does) drive me nuts. People who create these apparently invincible beasts who then god-mode everything, generally with bad grammar and spelling. I think I've met about one of these types of people who actually wanted to get better at RPing and made a conscience effort to work on his RPing. The last I saw of him, he was still awful, but considering where he started, it was actually fairly impressive.

Yeah, they drive me crazy! They always Rp like this; scarlet walked into the room "hi!" she said. firestripe stood up and shook her paw " hi, my names firestripe." scarlet smiled and so did firestripe. Ah, well. They just don't understand the simple, yet very important, rules of Rping. And most of the times they don't capitalize, use proper grammar or bother to make sure they spelled something right! I guess I am just a great Rper, heh?

Ugh. I knew a guy, a think he was a fox, who saw himself as some sort of incredible master thief. Of course, he joined the section of the club that was full of thieves. We were all hanging out and his first post was something like this:
i step out of shadows no one saw me. i'm shadow the killer i could kill you all i use poison
The worst is part is when newbies think they can take anyone and then talk down and pick fights with vets. Then, of course, the fight is more painful on us (the vets) cause they don't follow the same rules.
