Yea, Tom Brady is a sore loser, 'cept he is probably one of the best QB's.
Also, Rid, i know it isn't opinion. Damon Allen was in the CFL for 22 years. That is about twice the normal QB's time in football. Usually they retire after 12-14 years, maybe more. Damon Allen probably had better Wide-recievers than some NFL QB's. The only reason he probably has more yards is because of 1.) Is career time 2.) his wide-recievers and 3.) There is no 3rd down, so he has to make bigger plays.
I guarantee that if Peyton stays in the NFL for 22 years, he will probably have more yardage than Allen. Same thing probably would've happened with Flutie, Montana, Marino, maybe even Favre! I bet that if Allen played in the NFL for his whole career, he probably wouldn;t have as much yards.
And ye, Ricky Williams was good for about 3 career years for him, then it all went downhill because of drugs. Then he got suspended, then went to CFl, and I even think he played half a season in European football... I don't know.

You're arguing against yourself, Fang. Allen's career lasted 22 years because he was a great QB for 22 years. If those other guys were as good as Allen, their careers would have been just as long as well. Look, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
Instead, let's move on to a subject we can probably agree on easier. The big question. Who in professional football has the ugliest jerseys? My vote is for the Kansas City Chiefs. Their colour scheme always makes me think of McDonald's. Although Miami's third jerseys are also pretty awful. You know, the bright orange ones that look radioactive.

Yea, otherwise this will gop on forever... I think Kansas City throwbacks are nasty!

And those old Rams uniforms. I like their new ones, with the dark blue and gold, but the ones they wore during their Super Bowl win? Ugly.

Yea... You know what else is nasty? I think USC's throwbacks or some other team. It is messed up.

I think I know which ones you're talking about. I want to add UCLA's to the mix. Their colours just stink, but it looks much worse in football than, say, basketball.

That's it! UCLA! Their throwbacks are ugly. Buffalo Bills's throwbacks, I like them, kinda, but I don't like the helmet. Plain white with a red buffalo? No... Nothing could make that work.

So, I'm watching the CFL Labour Day Classic, between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Good game, except my beloved Blue and Gold are being HUMILIATED by archrival Sasky. It makes me physically ill. Actually, as I wrote that, we completed a twenty yard plus passing play.
Anyways, I'd like to add something to the ugly jersey discussion, although this is a logo. It's the quote-unquote 'Retro' logo for the Roughriders. The usual 'Rider logo is a big 'S' on a green background, with stripes that make it look a little like a football field. Not a great logo, but definitely not a bad one. The retro logo D***! Big missed call on a headshot on the Blue QB, followed by an interception and the Riders will win. Lousy CFL refs are awful. Anyways, the retro Riders logo is a crazy 'S' on a circle. It is an awful logo and looks like the logo for Safeway, a grocery store. I don't care if it's retro or not, it is just AWFUL.

Right, so I'm reviving this pretty much dead thread with a question for all you NFL fans out there. I was watching the opening games this weekend (well, I was the highlights. The CFL Banjo Bowl was on). I couldn't help but notice, since they were HUGE, a batch on the front of every players' jersey. It was black circle that read 'GU' and 63 (or 53, can't remember) underneath the GU. I can only assume that this refers to some player that passed away, but I have no idea who this is. The only 63 would probably be his number, making him an offensive lineman, I believe. The numbering is a bit different in CFL and NFL, so I'm not certain. Who is this guy? What happened?

The reason there is GU because there was a player named Gene Upshaw. He got cancer and died. Now everyone has a patch on their jerseys that reads: "GU" and the number 67 under it.
