OOC: w00t w00t, now there's something for Firestripe to brag about! Cheating death is just part of everyday life for him! lol, oh and I think Firestripe does have a crush on Scar, he just doesn't know that he does. I mean, he's freakin' uber protective of her and everything, he just doesn't realise it, I guess... ah well, whatever happens, happens.
IC: *Firestripe hadn't seen much during the short amount of time that he'd been dead. He'd been lying on the beach when suddenly everything went black. The pain went away and he looked around. All he could see was blackness. -Well, I guess I'm dead...- Firestripe thought to himself. It really didn't bother him too much for some reason. The only thing that did bother him was the position he'd left Scarlet and the crew in back in the land of the living. He'd gotten himself killed along with five or six other creatures from the crew and that could leave Scarlet and the rest in a bit of trouble. He looked around again to try and see something but still only saw blackness. This wasn't what he'd imagined death was like, he'd thought there was some place that he'd go, there where those that believed that they'd go to some place called the dark forest and then some believed that you'd continue to roam the earth as a ghost or spirit or something like that. He himself had never really thought about it too much, never had a whole lot of time to think of things besides work. He then noticed a beam of light come from the darkness. He didn't know what in the world it was but he knew he wanted to go to it. Strangley enough, he also had a want to stay in the darkness because he knew, somehow, that if he went into the light then he'd be alive again. There was always fighting and hardships in life and here, in the black, there was peace. The greatest peace that he'd ever known. He seriously considered staying when the thought struck him that he was either wanted or needed back with the living. He wasn't sure who or what needed or wanted him alive badly enough that he could feel it from here but he did know that he had to go back. As he stepped towards the light he felt a slight pull tugging at him then suddenly he was sucked into the light. The next thing he knew was that he felt his lungs burning and he had to fight to breath as pain re-entered his body throughout. He opened his eyes to find most of the crew standing around him cheering. For what, he didn't know. All he knew was that he was alive.

Yelta recieved many hearty pats on the back from the crew members and Gashtooth said in admiration " Ye were just quicker than lightnin' at saving Firestripe's life! Well done!". At that, Yelta smiled, then she said " Thank ye. Gashtooth, ya need to send out a runner or two to notify Capn' Scar of the proceedings and to tell her that she and the rest of the crew need to head down on the Nightpearl, as we cannot transport the wounded halfway around the island. And tell the runner to tell Scar- Capn' Scar - to hurry!" She said " And who knows, the lizards might come back, and then we'd all be dead...." Gashtooth patted her reassuringly on the back " Don't ye worry, I'll send the runners pronto!" He beckoned to two weasels, the twin scouts/runners, and gave them the orders. The nodded and silently began running down the beach as fast as they could. " There, now, the two best runners we have are on thier way to Capn' Scar." Gashtooth said, before he walked over to talk to some of the crew.
They were all talking quietly now, aware of Firestripe needing his rest and the other wounded as well. The firepit they had made before the battle was still glowing, so Yelta put a bit more wood on and soon they had a warm fire to sit around.
The sun was almost completely hiden by the sea as Yelta adminastered the last of the medicine to the last patients with darts in them, thanking the stars she had had enough for them all. She deliberatly made Fang the very last patient she adminastered to, not liking him too much for his mouthing off.
Gashtooth and a few others were on sentry duty as Yelta, not seeing much more that she could do for the wounded, having bandaged them all up as best she could, curled up next to the fire and fell asleep. By the morning, all the crew should be able to walk agian, except for the severely wounded and Firestripe. If Firestripe stays alive throughout the night. She smiled in her sleep as she thought of how she saved Firestripe's life.

"Everyone loves to yell at ole' Fang, eh?" He said. "Anyway, thanks fer fixin' me up Yelta." he said. Fang walked over to Firestripe. "What I said back there... I didn't mean it. I was just gettin I'll sit right next to you and be your guard this time." He said.
(Ah, the shortness...)

*Firestripe after having come back from the dead, had almost promptly feel asleep. I mean, he freakin' died, he needed some rest. Even so, he made him self stay awake untill he saw that everything was going OK, the rest of the wounded were tended to, runners were sent to get Scarlet and sentries had been posted. Everything had been set in order and Gashtooth was doing a good job at getting everything together. He really couldn't hardly move at all now, he probably wouldn't be walking again for a week or two... or three... or four... Well, he'd probably make himself walk before then but it'd hurt and wouldn't be for any long distance.*
*He smiled slightly at Fang's words.* "Thanks..." *He would've said that he'd been wrong to snap at Fang like that but he could barely talk and saying that one word had hurt quite a bit and it had just barely come out. Hopefully his voice would come back after a good night's rest. As he started to fall asleep, he couldn't help but wonder at what he'd felt while dead. It had felt like somebeast cared enough about whether Firestripe was dead or alive that he could feel it after death. That surprised him a good deal, he'd never figured that anybeast cared about him that much. He would have thought on the subject more if it wasn't for the fact that he'd fallen asleep by now, finally. He was almost the last beast to fall asleep, apart from the sentries of course even though some of them had already fallen asleep as well.*
OOC: I guess that it'll cut to the morning because everyone is asleep now. So... hopefully Scar'll be there with the Nightpearl by then!

The weasels fell with a thump to the deck, breathing heavily. It was an hour or so past midnight, and the weasels had not stopped thier run until now. The gratefully took the water Scar offered them, guzzling it down quickly. Scar waited until they had caught thier breaths before asking them " Well, have they found him?" The weasels told all of what had happened since they found Firestripe, Scar listened calmly, noding at a few particular parts. " Good, then. You may go to the barracks and rest for awhile after running so far without stop- and I am glad to hear you did-, I'll have somebeast notify you when we come in site of the search party. Teg, head around to the south of the isle, and beach the Nightpearl when you see the search party; They'll be on the beach in plain site, so don't miss'em!" Scar ordered, and, seeing Teg out of the harbour and sailing down to the south of the isle, she retreated to her cabin, where she sat at her desk, tapping her claws worriedly on the wood.
Yelta shifted in the early dawn, grumbling as she woke up. Her fur was filled with itchy, scratchy sand. She pawed it from her fur annoyedly. Yawning, she stretched her paws up in the air. She looked about the camp; a few sentries were still awake, but the rest of the crew was asleep. Yelta had always been an early riser. She stood up and walked across the beach until her paws were being lapped at by the waves of the ocean. She dove in with glee, happy to clean some of the blood and grit from her fur, paddling around in the shallows.
(OOC: Hey, Firestripe, I noticed that your reputation is like, 8 million! How in the world fif it get that way? It flippin' awesome!(and I really feel like sayin' 'wot, wot!' at the end of that sentence!)

OOC: That, my friend, is called the wonderfull powers of the admins! If your an admin, you can change your own and other people's karma. I was bored, I changed it. lol, it was funny. Ok, I'm not sure what to post now, I thought you were going to just automaticly jump to when Scarlet got there because, well, there's not a whole lot left to do untill then, you know? I guess I'll try at a post... IC: *Firestripe breathed deeper and he slipped into the realm of the concious. He hadn't really dreamed of anything, well, at least he didn't remember any dreams. It seemed he had indeed survived the night which seemed to be something which was important, like if he survived the first night than he'd probably be fine eventually or something like that. Firestripe wasn't the expert. He opened his eyes slightly and he immidiatly noticed that his they weren't nearly as swollen as before. Even so, looking straight up didn't offer much of a view so he shifted slightly to get a better look of the camp and hissed through his teeth slightly, obviously the pain was still there. He looked around the camp, at least some of the sentries were still awake, thankfully. He heared some splashing sounds coming from the ocean apart from the waves and glanced over. He saw Yelta paddling around and smiled slightly for just a second. He could understand the feeling though he was never able to give in to the want to frolic around like that. He had to set an example for the rest of the crew. He shifted back onto his back and winced again, the pain was still there. His thoughts shifted to safety. He was wondering how long it'd be untill Scarlet and the Nightpearl got there because even though the lizard king had been killed, those lizards might come back and attack again. They hadn't during the night, thankfully, but he still didn't want to take any chances. He hoped that Scar got there with the ship soon.*

(OOC: Well, I was hoping Fang might post, just to get a little more detail in the story. But of course you always post before anyone else, you're so fast! Yelta had been swimming around for about an hour when she spotted the black sails coming around a large rock farther up the island. The crew was still sleeping and by then the sentries were relieved with half asleep vermin. Yelta paddled back to the beach from where she had been swimming a few yards out to sea. She shook herself, the salty water from the sea glistening in the late dawn. After a good shaking out, she walked over to where Gashtooth lay sleeping. She tapped the wolf with her claw on his shoulder. He grumbled and shifted, but did not wake up. She shook him lightly and he snorted, causing her to jump back a pace or two. He sat up, rubbing the sleep from his deep blue eyes. " What do ya want?" He asked, a little grumpily. " The Nightpearl's in sight, about a half hour away at the most!" As she said these words, Gashtooth jumped up and looked northwards up the shoreline. Sure enough, the black sails were getting closer. Gashtooth shook a nearby crewbeast, waking him from his sleep. " Get up, the Nightpearl's on its way! Wake everybody up!" He shouted cheerfully. " Come on get up, get ready to board the Nightpearl, she's comin' this way!" Most of the crew woke up to Gashtooth's shouts, cheering as they heard; The Nightpearl was on it's way! Scar paced her cabin, wondering how much farther they would travel south around the island until they found the search party. She heard a shout from the deck, and ran up. The lookout in the crow's nest was shouting " Thar they are! Not two miles away! Look'ee on the beach thar!" Scar ran to the prow to see for herself if they had found them. Her keen eyes spotted them as they began cheering and waving to the Nightpearl. Scar issued a sigh of relief as they beached the Nightpearl where the search party was.

"No problem" Fang said to Firestripe. After a little watch overing of the camp, Fang noticed black sails. Could they be from the Nightpearl?! He shook Firestripe. "Oi, matey! Nightpearl's a -comin'!" He said. Somebeast! Get a stretcher so when the Nightpearl is here, we can roll Firestripe on it and we can carry 'im!" He shouted. He then ran to Yelta. "That is the Nightpearl, right?" He asked.

OOC: Heh, sorry... when I see a thread just waiting for a post, I have to put my two cents in because I'm crazy like that! Sorry Fang...
*Pain was stamped on Firestripe's face for a good few seconds as he winced like crazy from Fang suddenly shaking him, that was saying alot about the pain he was in because he was never one to show that he was in pain. He'd been shot and cut a number of times and had never made a sound. After the pain had subsided, well, subsided as much as it was going to, Firestripe turned his head so he could look towards the sea. That was certainly the Nightpearl that was now beached almost directly in front of the search party. He would have gotten up and started ordering the crew to break camp right then except for the fact that he could barely move, much less walk. It seemed that Gashtooth had everything under control anyways, thankfully. Firestripe was glad that the lizards had never showed up again because the search party probably wouldn't have lasted any time at all seeing as how most of the sentries had been dead asleep so much so that they didn't even notice that black sails of the Nightpearl coming towards them until Yelta woke up Gashtooth. Now it was just the waiting game to see how long it'd take for them to figure out how they'd get Firestripe aboard. He was quite big and heavy and he couldn't very well get up there himself so... yeah, the waiting game. He also wondered whether Scarlet was gonna get off the ship herself or whether he'd just be brought aboard and be greeted there, if at all. He actually wouldn't be amazingly surprised if he was just brought on board and then they started off again without any meet and greet with him coming back. The captain had never seemed to be one for getting all sentimental like that, though he could be wrong...*

OOC: Iz all good in da hood! *twitch* Did I just say that? Don't worry Firestripe. I don't really have anything interesting to say, yet. So, you guys can skip me if ya have something better to say. BIC: Fang then realized he was hurting Firestripre. "Sorry, mate. I hope ye don't rip meh to shreds." he said. "Oh wait! This is the first time I saw you seem hurt!" He said astonishngly. "Don't worry, Ah won't tell anybeast." He said with a wink. "Plus, Ah wanna keep mah head." He muttered. Now Fang could see the sails getting closer and the ship was in clear view. "Oi! Where's that stretcher?!" He shouted. Then all of a sudden, two crewbeasts brought a stretcher. "Ok, ok... Place it down." He said. "Now Firestripe, stay calm, we're gonna get ya on this stretcher." He said. Fang and the crewbeasts started to roll Firestripe on the stretcher. "Ok, we're gonna need more crewbeasties ta lift ya." He said. Fang jogged over to Yelta. "Oi, how many beasts do ya think it'll take to lift ole' Firestripe?" He asked.
