The little mouse whimpered loudly, hanging by his scruff. He quivered at the fearsome otter, hanging limply. After a moment something within him changed. He furrowed his brow and squirmed around. "Lemme go.." the little mouse growled, whapping at the Skipper's paw with his wet tail.

"Lemme go.."
The Skipper closed his eyes and tilted his head upward in irritation as the dibbun whapped his arm with his tail. He let go of the dibbun and dropped his to the floor. "He's your responsibility...Keep him out of the way and out of trouble..." the skipper said walking off.
"Aye Skip..."He said grateful at how things had turned out.

The little mouse stuck his tongue out at the Skipper, rubbing the scruff of his neck. "WHy he do dat?" The little mouse asked One-eye, looking up at him. Taggle squirmed from footpaw to footpaw listening to the sea and poking his poncho.

"WHy he do dat?"
One-eye was actually in awe at the Skipper. "I dunno mate...guess he's keeping an open mind..." He said rubbing the back of his neck with a sthingy. He looked down and saw The dibbun shuffling about. " 'ey...what say we show ya' tha' sea? 'Eh?" he asked looking taking a couple of Shrimp cakes from a tray walking past and giving one to the dibbun.

"Fanks!"The dibbun sniffed it curiously, then shoved the whole thing into his mouth, chewing very fast, as if afraid it would be taken back. He began to walk out towards the sea and looked down. After swallowing the shrimp cake, the little mouse waved his tail back and forth, examining it. "Where'd all da water come from?" He asked. Taggle held his arms up, wishing to be held. His poncho was slightly dirty from the flour and water, among other things, and slightly ill fitting. It all gave the appearance of making the mousebabe appear even scrawnier and smaller than he was.

The Otter hefted the dibbun into his arms and started walking down the winding path towards the shore. "Where'd all da water come from?"
"I dunno!" he said winding down another corner. "S'been 'ere longer den I have and that good enough fer me!" he laughed. Finally they reached the shore and One-eye set him down on the soft, yet gritty sand. One-eye laid down and leaned again a rock by the shore in thought at how fortunate it had been that Taggle had found his way to his shore...He just wished he knew more about him..., where he came from, and who he belonged to...One-eye lay there like a snug...eventually falling asleep.

Taggle played in the sand, getting very wet and dirty. Eventually, the little mouse ran up to One-eye and tugged on his paw. "What's dat?" He asked, pointing to another huge storm cloud on the horizon. The little mouse had managed to coat his poncho in sand and grit, as was wet as well. He had several seashells clutched in his paw, some of them sharp.

"What's dat?"
One-eye looked up seeing the rain cloud and smiled. "Aye...Wonderful rain cloud..." he said rolling on his side and beginning to snooze. Little did he know of the beast 50 yards over the left sand dunes.

The little mouse looked over the dunes as a large burst of thunder let loose overhead. "look!" He said, pointing at a beast hiding behind the dunes. The little mouse tugged on One-Eye's paw, trying to hide behind him.

One-eye leaned over rolling onto the dibbun, covering him up. "I saw tha' cloud matey...Rain is a good thing." he said continuously fading in and out of consciousness due to lack of sleep.
