**Stark punted noiselessly down the river, through the overgrown marshes, his small riverboat concealed in the night's shadow. He panted as quietly as he could, his bright eyes darting around quickly. As always, he was wearing black robes, but the material was stuck to his back as he was sweating profusely. He went on doggedly in a rushed blur, until he was too tired to row any longer, and put in. He covered his riverboat up half-heartedly, hiding it in case he was still being followed by that camp of vermin. He doubted it, since he'd killed one of them who was following him. He didn't really want to, but he couldn't risk being caught in his line of work. He searched around for a moment, then found a twisted, ancient tree which was hollow inside. He crawled in, covering up the entrance hole with some surrounding bush cover and a couple of branches. He made sure all his weapons were concealed, apart from his knife, which was laid on his stomach, his hand formed in a loose grip over it. He flexed his left hand, which was bandaged up after one of the ferrets had smashed it with a rock, and sighed. He closed his eyes, his mind already in the land of dreams...**

(ah... You're a wolf) Kilo watched silently from a tree. His fur, usually White, was dark, almost black due to higher temperature. He cocked his head to the side as he watched the wolf pass by, apparently in a hurry. One of his paws was bandaged. Kilo droped to the ground and followed along silently. He had always liked wolves, he had one as a friend a while back. As he moved, Kilo double checked to make sure his simple tunic was on straight, and his swords didn't clank. He began to wonder what was making the wolf move so hurridly, he also ran simulations in his head for how he would confront the wolf. He moved faster, hoping to overtake him. Further on, he discovered a haphazardly covered boat, and some tracks leading towards a tree. Kilo smiled as he covered the boat better, and erased the wolf's tracks. he camped out, without a fire, to wait until morning, hidden in the surrounding brush...

*Gam sat silently, further up along the river. His eyes were closed slightly, his sword stabbed into the earth infront of him, a hand wrapped around its handle. He moved slightly, his eyes opening a little bit more as he started to wake up. A bush moved ten yards away, heavy pawsteps pounded on the ground. His green eyes flickered as he slowly started to rise. He watched vermin after vermin run along the bank of the river. A smile was etched across Gams face. He listened as one of the lead runners yelled back to the rest of the vermin.* E' rounded the bend up a'ead! Come on lads! *Gam nodded as if he was one of the vermin and slowly climbed up an old willow that was leaning behind him. He quickly took off through the branches of many trees, racing ahead of the vermin, a wild glint in his eyes.*
*He was way ahead of the vermin when he stopped. He looked around, then dropped down of the trees. When he landed, he immediately looked at his surroundings. Paw prints of a wolf were visible, the went off into the woods further and were still fresh. The majority of them were erased. Gam ignored them, then went about thinking of what he was going to do.He fingered the crystal knife that hung around his neck. Memories of traps ran through his head. Then, a few stuck. Immediately, he went to work chopping of branches as round as his dagger handle and sharpening them. They were all around as long as his sword. He started pushing them into the ground, leaving them sticking out around a foot and spacing them two feet apart. Between each tree he put a long slender branch at knee level, directly behind the sharpened branches. He bent the branches and stabbed each end into the ground and silently hoped that they would stay.*
*A yell came from further up the bank. Gam panted and went to work a little faster. Took an arrow out of his quiver and stuck one by every tree. Nervously, he looked up the bank and saw a shadow vanish behind a tree. Gam grabbed his bow then scurried up a tree and watched as the vermin neared.*
