Ari Jenska hadn't been in Loamsdown for awhile. He was finding that he liked it less and less as he argued with a grungy looking rat with multiple tattoos and piercings all over his rather muscular body. Ari was trying to purchase a carton of about ten fish, some still twitching with the aftershocks of life. When he was inspecting them, one at the bottom appeared to be rather rotten, it's eyes greying and it as a whole was emitting a foul odor. Now, he was trying to bargain for a cheaper price since, of course, the rotten fish had slightly befouled the remaining specimens with it's stench and grime.
He held up the rotten fish about an inch from the merchants snout. " You think I should pay full price," He started, his voice rising angrily " For a carton of fish that had this," Here he waved it about in front of the rat, who cringed slightly at the odor, but whose eyes were hard as flint as he looked at Ari, a scowl forming on his face. Ari continued regardless, quite enraged now, "this," He said again for effect, " In the bottom of it? Do you call this fresh?!" He shouted.
The rat looked at him with disgust, which struck Ari as strange because what was disgusting here was the rotting fish he was holding up by the tail. " You'll pay full price jus' as the rest'o'me customahs. 'Dis," He gestured to the remaining fish, " 'Dis is fresh, so it shouldn't matter. I even put a new fish for tha' rotten one." His voice was firm and his paws clenched. " If'n you don't like that, you can go buy fish somewheres else." He spoke with finality.
Ari looked furious. " If I go without buyin' those fish fer less than you're askin', which is too much for tha' quality," He wrinkled his nose distastfully, " Then you can see to it that I'll run yer business to tha' ground." He knew it was a big threat, probably an impossible one to carry through since this was the best fish market in Loamsdown, but he didn't care. All he knew was that he hated this rat. He had problems with people who didn't do what he asked, it was a pyschological thing, and he couldn't help it.
With a laugh, the rat discarded Ari, waving a paw annoyedly, turning to a new customer. " Get yer arse outta 'ere, if'n you ain't payin' fer nothin'." He said to Ari. With a low growl rumbling in his throat, Ari turned on his heel, shoving his way through the crowd that filled the marketplace.

*Okay I looked him up. Very detailed by the way. And i'll use Firetail then.*
Firetail stood in a dark alleyway in his dark blue cloak watching the lone wolf as he angrily walked away. He was quite bored as his ship would be docked here for a few days or weeks getting repairs and there wasn't much to do here. Only haggle and waste money. Maybe he could get some fun out of this wolf. Stepping out of the alleyway he followed him from a distance being careful and keeping one of his poison daggers ready. Since the wolf appeared to be older than him and from that fight a possible temper he would have to be careful.
*Sorry it's not very long.*

Ari was still cooling down from his flare of anger with the merchant as he turned down the next street, heading toward the warf. Very abruptly he turned off into a dim and rather smelly alleyway, pulling a flask from his belt. He took a few sips, savoring the harsh yet rich taste of straight up rum. I just need to cool down... He thought to himself. He leaned against the wall, not bothered by the grime that rubbed off on the back of his shirt as he did. He looked around him; He was pretty much alone in the alleyway, except for the bugs that skittered off here and there along the dirty ground. He looked back toward the street, watching some of the corsairs and other vermin walking by. It was a fairly busy port, Loamsdown, and well heard of too. He hated it though, he thought as he flicked some dirt off his shoulder. He didn't know why.

Firetail kept following the wolf till he saw him go down one of the alleyways. He went around it but packed away his cloak so as not to look to suspicous. He came around from the other side with one of his daggers in hand throwing up and skillfully catching it. He laughed and said "Looks like someone has a temper." He grinned slyly. "So where might you be from wolf?"

He was slightly startled at the sudden appearance of the ferret; He looked young, much younger than Ari was. He grinned, sliently laughing as the ferret tossed his dagger, apparently thinking what fun it would be to try to intimidate and mess around with a wolf like himself. He stayed where he was, leaned against the wall, not even bothering to put a paw to his dagger. He assessed him quickly in his mind: He was definately tall for his age, rather buff as well. Obviously he was part of a crew, but from the way he carried himself, his lack of grimy dingy wear, and his obvious confidence, he was most likely a higher rank, perhaps Bosun or First-Mate. He had a rather street-smart air about him, and it would be wise to assume he was very skilled, as this would explain his position at such a young age. Still, though, even a prodigal young ferret was hardly a match for Ari Jenska's years of experience.
Ari reached up and scratched his scruffy chin thoughtfully, as if considering what best way to answer the ferret's question. " Well," He started, staring at the ferret speculatively " Not really from anywhere in particular, to be so precise. Here and there, " He shrugged and glance around, seemingly bored with the question all of a sudden. " Veritably you can say I've been nearly everywhere," He said, grinning disarmingly, he added " That being without a sure amount of certainty."

Firetail wasn't very happy now. The wolf hadn't done a thing to react to him and answered his question with an obviously bored tone. He was hoping for a little more fun than this. He decided to take a new approach. Maybe if he got him mad he could get some more fun. Keeping his dagger in paw he asked "So what ship are you from? Or are you so boring that no one wanted you. I mean I was looking to be amused by following you here but so far you've dissappointed me greatly. I mean are all wolves this way," he threw his dagger up and caught it again grinning "or is it just you?" *Wow you good at this. You must have rp'ed alot. *

A hint of anger flashed behind the wolfs eyes. He hid it quickly though; This ferret, well, it wasn't like arguing with the merchant. This ferret was smart and apparently looking for trouble with Ari. That made him, well, not so smart in Ari's eyes. He stayed where he was, leaning against the wall, but he let his right paw drift near his pistol very nonchalantly. He wasn't going to take his chances with this guy. He stared the ferret down, amusement dancing like flecks of fire in his icy blue eyes. " I think you'll find 'tis just me, matey. Just me." He winked devilishly at the ferret, his lip curling back into a somewhat feral grin. " And as for amusement, I can't see how you would find me amusing. " He pointed a sharp, lethal looking claw at himself. " After all, I am quite boring." He was lying, and playing it out so that the ferret would know that it was indeed a rather thick lie. The grin never left his face, even though he knew that that itching sensation in the back of his head was his anger, his temper, trying to escape in the form of a glance, a word, or worse, an action.

Firetail had noticed the flash of anger in the wolfs eyes and now he grinned. If he could push him a little farther he might get something. He said "Oh. You must be a disgrace to your family. and your race. I've met a few wolves who were much more fun than you. And you must think your pretty skilled with that dainty little pistol of yours. By the time you got it out and ready i'd have my dagger in you and if you get even one cut the poison it's covered in would kill you. So wolf. Wanna try your luck? Or are you gonna leave now with your tail between your legs?" He grinned slyly. "It's your choice."
