Appearance: Alyss' fur is bright red. She has a small scardown the side of her face from a fight when she was just a babe, when her father was attempting to protect her from a bloodthirsty weasel. The weasel was scared off, but not before he managed to make a scar on Alyss' face. She normally wears practicl clothes: a dark brown tunic with a similarly coloured cloak. The cloak is fairly big to accomodade the sabre she wears at her hip. Both belonged to her father, and both are too big for her, but she doesn't care. She can weild the sabre with fair ease, but her favorite weapon is a cheap cutlass she bought. Its covered in nicks and must have seen the blood of many men, though Alyss has never used it to kill. The cutlass is in easy reach of her hand.
She also wears a deep moss-green headband to hold back the fur on her head. It's a lot longer than a normal squirell's, and she hates having to puch it out of the way and worry about it in fights. Her eyes are light blue, and sometimes look intense compared to her red fur. She has a wide black belt around her waist, which has a small bag of money as well as her two swords.

Personality: Alyss is stubborn, a trait that some see as determined in the right light. She hatesbeing treated like a child and is always fighting to been seen as an adult, and therefore sometimes doesn't think much beofre throwing herself into a fight, eager to prove her strength. She doesn't really beleive in the concept of morals, instead beleiving that people adopt whatever ethics will get them out of their current predicament fastest.
She loves to fight, not because she enjoys violence but because she likes the adrenaline in her body and the way everything seems crystal clear. She's a bit of a loner, disliking company, but will easily form or break allinces based on what suits her best.

History: Alyss' father was a seafarer, living beside the sea and spending half his time on his boat fishing. She always preferred to go with her father than stay with her mother, so no-one was at home when the slavers came. They took her mother but noted that the small cave where they lived was home to at least two people. They stayed there, and when Alyss and her father returned, they attacked once more.
Alyss was left on the beach as she was then too young to be of any use to the slavers. Instead of hating them, Alyss had watched them when they fought and admired them for their deadly efficiency.
She was used to fishing and survived on her own for several seasons. However, the slavers had marked her area as a good source of slaves and came back. A pair of weasels took a rest near her cave, not knowing she was there. She stabbed one in the back and nearly rendered the other one unconcious with the element of surprise but was caught and dragged before the captain. Instead of beheading her the captain decided to take her on.
She travelled the seas for several years with that crew, but caught a glimpse of her parents and tried a daring rescue. her mother died but her father durvived. She wanted him to come with her and find another crew of pirates to join, but her father was disgusted by what his daughter had become and wouln't join her. She shrugged it off and started to search for another crew to join.
