Vera

[Firestripe]

"Yeah... we gonna be coming back here any time soon? This place has some nice stuff in it, speaking of weapons mainly. I would've gotten more but all the money I had went into Vera." *He said a bit sadly. He'd had a really really really good bit of money before hand. Vera had cost him but it seemed well worth it. Even so, he was gonna have to go without extra stuff for awhile... like getting good food and the such when they went into port and other things he didn't care to think about at the time.*

" Yeah, we're comin' back sometime later.... Don't worry, Vera was worth it. Anyway, you can always ask me if you need a bit of extra money." She said. Definately they were coming back to Forenway; With all the strange, interesting and exotic stores they had there, Scarlet could be kept busy for seasons looking through them all. She loved to collect strang and exotic trinkets, random things which she bought for no reason. She already had a fairly large collection of such things, and couldn't wait to add the sharks tooth tail ring and peacock quill to it.

*Firestripe looked down at Scarlet with a raised eyebrow.* "You think I'd actually ask somebeast, especially you, for money? What kind of fox would I be if I did that? I make my money, I don't beg." *He said this not in anger, far from it, he was just getting the point across that he wouldn't ask anybeast for money, it just wasn't in his nature to be a begger. Whatever money he got, he earned and that's the only way he got it.*

Scarlet looked up at Firestripe. " I'm not asking you to beg, I'm just letting you know. And I understand if you don't want to take my money. Look, we're almost to the Nightpearl." She said. She sighed with pleasure; Today had been fun, and hopefully there would be more fun times like that the next time they visited Forenway.

[Firestripe]

*Firestripe looked up to see the Nightpearl getting closer by the minute.* "Yep, we are." *He said somewhat non-chelantly. His time in Forenway had been ok but it started being alot less fun after buying Vera, mainly because after that he had no more money to actually be able to do anything. -Oh well...- he thought to himself, it seemed pretty well worth it to him. He didn't try to say anything else because, well, he had no idea what to talk about. He'd hardly ever made long conversation with anybeast before he started 'dating' Scarlet; this being said, he didn't have a whole lot of experience in that field, sadly enough...*

Emmeline's sly lacking voice tickled off her pink tongue like grease, " Hey, um, Captain, Miss." She started to a lope off toward Scarlet, golden coins making a tingly jingle in her deep pant pocket. She clamped her paw over them as she trotted to reduce the noise. That was when she noticed Firestripe, a close companion to Scarlet. She bowed her head slightly upon habit. She smiled pleasantly, as she lifted a heap of coins from her pocket.

" A drunken seaman, quite unusually" She rolled her eyes " He was in the tavern, and carrying quite a mound of coins" She tossed a single of her cash into the air and it landed in the other paw. She shoved both hand's worth into her pocket and continued casually," Are we headed back to the ship captain?" She personally didn't want to leave, as the port pleased her and made her look at plunder differently, and possibly more violently.

Scarlet watched as Emmeline tossed the coin into her opposite paw. "Yes, we're headed back; We ship off tomorrow morning.... Its quite a shame, really. Forenway has proved a very interesting place. What have you been up to, other than pick-pocketing drunkards?" She said, with a small smile.

Out of most of her crew, she liked Emmeline the best; maybe it was because they had quite a few things in common. Though Scarlet did hang around the other crew-beasts often, it was partly because she wanted the crew-beasts to like her so that they didn't rebel.

Emmeline was pleased with how Scarlet praised her, and simply Scarlet herself. She produced another half-hearted smile, thinking about Forenway some more. It was certainly full of cash, and she looked up at the sky glumly as she considered leaving, and what a burden it would be.

Quickly she turned to Firestripe. He amused her a bit, being the way he was. She hadn't seen him much lately, and wondered what he was truly like, as they only exchanged quick hellos " Hey Firestripe " She said pleasantly.

*Firestripe smiled slightly down at Emmeline, he next to never just gave out full blown smiles.* "Hi Emmaline." *He said, not sure of what she was expecting him to say. I mean, he'd been standing there right beside Scarlet as they had conversed and then she suddenly turns to him and says hi. A bit random but Firestripe didn't mind, life would be boring if there wasn't some randomness in the world, though random wasn't always good...*

Emmeline nodded briefly towards Firestripe, who had replied casally, yet seemed a bit puzzled to her randoom remark. She accepted it, though, and did a quick, merry smile toward crewmate and captain.

" Now, Cap'n" She turned back towards Scarlet, faltering a bit as she did so "Please excuse my manner, but we've not seen much action out on these here seas" She pointed with a paw to ocean " There don't seem many treasures a'plundered 'bout here that are easy to get to "
