Thaiden joined Theradin on the gun deck blasting the triple barreled cannons. He smiled as he listend to the captian hurl insults at the other ship. "Not very fond o them is 'e?" He said to Theradin. The cannon nearly knocked him over as it shot back with the power of the shot. He muttered a curse under his breath and reloaded. Aiming carefully along the long barrel Thaiden fired again.

Through the fog the silhouette of the Skipper of Sea Otter's Ship The LanceBreaker could be seen. The Skipper and Blade stood on the deck with the rest of his crew. "Well mate...wot do we have 'ere mates.....".

Tyral leaned over the edge og the Lancebreaker. HIs sharp eyes caught sight of the two ships and the smoke coming from cannons as tehy where fired again and again. "Cap'n looks like two ships 'avin a blast-fest. They both have the looks 'o pirates about 'em. Shall we roll out the cannons and join in?" The young otter smiled at the idea of blasting the ships. He had not gotten to play much with his postion as cannons master but he was eager to try his paw at cannoning again.

(OOC: Whoops, sorry Thaiden.  ) Scarlet looked over Vorai. " No, now go help the others below deck get ready to board." She said, before shooting off another set of cannon balls. She was thrown back against the wall as a cannon hit, taking a large chunk out of the side of the deck. Wooden splinters shot out everywhere and a few unlucky crewbeasts were either crushed or badly splintered. Those that survived the hit crawled below deck, and Lanark was busy wrapping wounds. Besides a torn sail and broken lantern, that was the only major-ish hit the Nightpearl recieved. They were coming up closer to the Wavescar, and soon they would be ready to fight.... Face to face. |

Fang was about to shout again, when a cannonball collided with the wood of his ship, sending up an enormous spray of deadly splinters. Amidst screams, Fang ran across the main deck to get to his captain's cabin. A ferret lay crumpled and writihing by a cannon, his fae unidentifiable with blood. Fang swore then ran into his cabin. He grabbed his holster of pistols, his cutlass, and a grenade; Wouldn't do much to the ship, but would definitely hurt someone, and he had special plans on who he was going to use this on. Charging back out and up to the helm, Fang took the weel and turned the ship portside, so now 24 cannons were aimed at Scarlet. "Hold! I don't want to kill her yet. Fill them with grapeshots (little clusters of metal) I want 10 for each cannon!"

Theradin smirked at Thaiden, "I'm one o' the few who knows 'is past with Scarlet. Trust me... You don't wan' ta know." Cursing slightly when the ship turned, Theradin jumped up and ran to his ordinary cannon on the main deck, "Get up here." He hissed to Thaiden. Taking over his cannon, Theradin motioned to another cannon next to him, but wait. These cannons weren't as thick as ordinary cannons, and their mouth wasn't as wide. Zane cam trudging over, "Sir, what are these? These ain't ordinary cannons." Smirking inwardly, Theradin answered, "Aye. THey be culverines. They go 400ft whereas a normal cannon only does 250 ft to about 325 ft." He loaded it with a cannonball, despite Fang's orders. He jammed the cannonball down the cannon mouth then lit the fuse.
BANG!
A cannonball was shot off towards the Nightpearl, aiming nowhere in particular.

Vorai snarled but quickly cut it off before he got into a quarrel with the captain. The burly wolf ran down to the gun deck and started suiting up; 4 pistols, his schiavona, his prized long barreled pistol, and two grenades. He hissed out orders to slackers then ran upstairs and stood next to Scarlet. "Now may I command the helm?"
He figured he had to ask, maybe Scarlet would say yes.

Zane left Theradin before the shot was off and ran up to the helm. More sails. "You gotta be kiddin' me! Captain! More sails! Over there!" Fang leaned out over the helm, not bothering to take out his spyglass, "Aye, get these rear cannons filled, just in case." Fang ordered. Zane nodded then ran to do his father's bidding.
((Sorry... bad post... Not as much detail as I would like... Sorry.))

Thaiden crammed a some grape shot down the long barrel of the cannon. His shot flew toward the Nightpearl. It was sure to cause some damage. Narrowing his eyes Thaiden strained to see what was going on aboard the other ship. His efforts where futile as the rain that beat down on him made everything fizzy. Wiping water from his eyes Thaiden loaded his cannons again.

Scarlet let out a fierce snarl of frustration. The crew around her hesitated fearfully at shooting the cannons. This only made Scarlet even more angry. "Shoot, you fools! Shoot NOW!!!" Since the ship had been somewhat angled towards the opposing ship, the Wavescar was nearly a straight shot. The buff, capable looking weasel with one eye quickly took charge, instructing the other crewbeasts. They let off a volley of deadly cannon balls, that hurtled through the air with awesome force. Scarlet quickly grabbed Bang as the ship buckled and shook when one of the enemy's cannon balls splinted through the ship. Scarlets keen hearing heard some beast shout that the storage rooms below water level were starting to flood slowly, and she cursed a stream of profanities under her breath, barely audible to herself.

Fang threw himself flat as a cannonball collided with the bow of his ship, ripping off the small mast that occupied there. "Those were new sails!" Fang shouted. Odd how something like sails could tick off a wolf. Standing back up, Fang ducked quickly as another cannonball flew by over head. Sighing slightly as several splashes slammed into the water, Fang ordered the cannons be filled with cannonballs again.
Another cannonball riped through the main mast, leaving a neat tear in the sails that occupied that mast. "Stop blowing holes in my ship!" Fang shouted over to the Nightpearl. Pulling his ship within shouting distance, Fang called a temporary truce, even though Scarlet wasn't likely to accept.
Then, Fang pulled out a pistol and shot it at Scarlet, aiming right at her heart.

Vorai acted fast. At the sight of Fang pulling out his pistol, Vorai threw himself at Scarlet, bringing her to the ground, so she wouldn't get shot with the bullet. Standing back up, Vorai growled feircely as, on his right shoulder, there was a neat circle with blood flowing from it. The bullet hit Vorai as he took Scarlet to the ground to keep her safe. "Sorry, cap, can't run a ship without a captain, eh?" He chuckled slightly then ran off, shouting orders.
Standing over a cannon, Vorai pulled out a knife and pryed the bullet from his shoulder, growling slightly at the pain. Throwing the piece of bullet into the water, pushed someone from a cannon and fired it at the Wavescar.

Zane smirked confidently, figuring no cannon shot could hit him from where he was standing. The young crewbeast thought wrong. Zane was up in the crow's nest, on one of the masts on the ship, when Verai's cannonball sheered part of it off. Zane felt a pit i his stomach as he flew through the air. Covering his eyes, he was slighly surprised as he landed in the water. "Close one." He muttered, then swam back to the ship.
OOC: Im too tired to RP with Theradin. XD

Thaiden watched Vorai take he bullet through his shoulder. "Do you want us to fire at Scarlet with pistols Cap'n? Or we could shoot out some grappling hooks from the cannons. We recently restocked 'em all. We'll be on their ship afore the can say 'we're dead'." Thaiden fancied a paw to paw fight very much. He liked fighting in the rain. It gave the battle a more dramatic air.
Thorin looked on from the crowsnest of the Lancebreaker. He held a rusty telescope to his eye and followed the action between the two ships carefully. He shouted down to Skipper, "Cap'n! Looks like both ship are taking a pounding. Should we move in or stay out of it?" The youge otter didn't take his eye of the two ships as he pulled out a double barreled pistol with his heavily tattooed right arm and a cutlass with his other.

Balash had took his time throughout the engagement to reach the crows nest and avoid the wild shots of the other pirates. He lifted his rifle up to eye level and cocked the hammer back. Pulling back slowly on the trigger his musket bucked and a rat on the nightpearl lost its head in a spray of blood. Balash smiled and begain to reload his weapon.

Thoeclaw burst onto the deck of the Wavescar, his thirst for blood painted on his gnashing frothy jaws and wild hellish eyes. "RRRROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!" he bellowed at the Nightpearl and waited his chance to feast.

Splicer heard the thundering of cannons from his bunk and rushed onto the deck. Seeing the close proximity of the Wavescar he fired a shot from his hand cannon. The gun roared bucking in his arms, and a wall of red hot metal shards tore through some of the Wavescars crew sending them flying backward their mangled and shredded bodies falling apart mid air. Dropping another canister into his weapon splicer rushed over to Scarlet "Whar de ya be wantin me capin?"
