Thaiden saw Firestripe sail through the air claws bristiling and sword flashing. He grabbed the fox that had been helping him and shoved him into the attack. Thaiden rolled out of teh way and caught Firestripe's calws on his side. He yelped in agony and glanced quickly at the wound. It wasn't really deep, the fox he had shoved had taken care fo that, but it was bleeding profusely. Thaiden came up with his sword in paw and faced Firestripe. He leaned heavily on one paw.
OOC: So lame but g2g.

Fang was taken aback by the sudden onslaught of the fox. He growled in pain as the dagger caught his back, and only sheer reflexes saved him his head. Fang threw himself to the side, and the shot Scarlet fired shot up through the ceiling, but again, he was wounded. That same dagger Scarlet had, left a deep gash in the wolf's side, And Fang half dragged, half stumbled to the end of the wall, "Please. Don't kill me." He pleaded. He threw his sword aside to show he was done for now. "I'm unarmed. Don't kill me, please." He begged again.

Vorai had left a fight with an opposing crewbeast, and ran down to the gun deck where Scarlet and Fang had been fighting. He arrived just on time to see Fang pleading for his life. Something was up. Fang never gave up this easily, he always had a plan. Vorai didn't take any chances. He walked over to Fang and grabbed him by the shoulder, making sure to dig into Fang's back. "Whats yer plan now, matey?" He growled through clenched teeth. "This!" Fang snarled as he pulled out a pistol and shot Vorai in the stomach.
The force of the blow from such close range sent Vorai stumbling backwards. The big wolf fell to the ground, holding his wound with both hands. Blood started to trickle down his mouth. Vorai was near death, and dieing fast. A stomach wound was near impossible to cure, and Vorai was losing blood fast. Fang stood over Vorai, completely forgetting Scarlet was behind him. "Stupid." Fang said spitting on Vorai. "Should've known better." Fang laughed.

Zane had been enjoying himself watching Firestripe and Thaiden battle it out. "I guess I better go back there and help him." Zane mused aloud. Sighing, the ferret walked down there idly, and pulled out his grapeshot and shot at Firestripe, then grabbed his regular 6 barreled pistol and fired off two shots at the large fox. He reloaded the grapeshot and started walking towards Firestripe, "Miss me?" He smirked then fired off his grapeshot again, and another shot from his other pistol.

*The first shot that Zane had fired at Firestripe with his grapeshot pistol was rather in-effective to say the least. This being so because at the range that Zane had fired it from at Firestripe had caused the significantly smaller shots of the grapeshot to feel much like the stings from a mosquito or something as the such. This, in the least, got Firestripe's attention for he turned around just in time to see Zane pulling out his pistol. This being said, he immediately dived sideways, leaving the shots fired by Zane to go past him and towards Thaiden, bad luck for him (him being Thaiden). Firestripe then started running towards Zane and as the ferret fired again, he dove forward, under the shots and went into a roll which left him springing out of it toward Zane in very close proximity at high speeds. Oh yeah, and he was swinging his sword horizontally at the ferret's gut.*

OOC: Use him as a sheath for your blade. ^^ Im gonna have Theradin take over command of the Wavescar.
@stripes- A grapsehot pistol fires clusters of metal the size of half your thumb, it would cause a considerably larger hole then what you described, no matter how large you were. And... Ill post later.

OOC: If it were that size, then how would it be a grapeshot pistol? Normal shots aren't even that size and a grapeshot is a cluster of small shots put together... I've been searching online for grapeshot pistols and haven't found any records of them at all on any sites. Perhaps you're thinking of the blunderbuss? Or, perhaps if your making a new weapon much like I did with Vera then describe it so that we know what your thinking.

Thaiden threw himself to the deck as the resounding bang shattered the not silence. Wait no. It wasn't silent. Shattered teh loudness. That dosn't make sense. Nevermind.
Thaiden threw himself to the deck. He had no idea who had fired the shot but he knew it would hit him or Firestripe if they didn't move. He hauled himself to his feet and saw Zane. "Decided to come back did you? Not goingt to let the big scary fox scare yout his time eh?" He called scornfully. He yanked a pistol from teh dead foxes array of weaponry. it was old and rusty. It didn't look very powerful either. Nevermeing what it looked like. Thaiden aimed the barrel at Firestripe and fired. The gun shot though not very accuratly. The only chance that it would hit Firestripe was if he dived to the side. Not gonna happen, probably.

Grapeshot pistol is a REAL pistol. They shoot clusters of metal, rolled into a ball. But it is a REAL pistol. Get that through your head.
And distance doesnt make a shot smaller...

OOC: Get it through YOUR head that distance decreases velocity, ever heard of that term? I should hope so. Oh, and just so you know, a grapeshot is a cluster of smaller shots put together. Not metal rolled up into a ball because that would just come apart upon being shot before it even got anywhere. Now, back to grapeshots, why do you thing that shotguns are ineffective over longer distances? Because the shots lose velocity because they are smaller. Don't you try and talk to me like I'm an idiot. I never said that distance made the shot smaller, I said that it's smaller already because that's what it means to shoot a cluster of SMALLER shots. If it was a cluster normal size shots then the barrel of this so called pistol would have to be extremely oversized and you wouldn't be able to handle it with one paw due to the kickback from all the extra gunpowder it would take to fire off all the shots. I know what I'm talking about so don't you dare get mad at me for trying to make this site realistic. If you wish to continue this debate than please send it in a PM. I don't like clogging up the threads with all of this OOC stuff...
(By the by, if you can send me a link or something pertaining to the grapeshot pistol that describes the gun and the type of shot it fires then I will take back all I said because then you would have proven me wrong.)

((Lets get this out now and over with: On the subject of Grapeshot-

Grapeshot: Grapeshot is a type of anti-personnel ammunition used in cannons. Instead of solid shot, a mass of loosely packed metal slugs is loaded into a canvas bag. Grapeshot was devastatingly effective against massed infantry at short range.

Actual Grapeshot wasn't used for pistols. It was used in cannons as Stated above. However there was a pistol called the Blunderbuss with was very similar to Grapeshot but it fired smaller metal slugs from a pistol or long musket type of rifle. One could also stuff it with shards of glass and other smaller projectile. The Largest Projectile/slug a blunderbuss(or grapeshot pistol if you wish to call it) would only be about half the size of the last joint of your pinky.
As Dantin stated however as the law of gravity controls everything Im afraid and projectiles become more ineffective the farther away the target is. It might still do some damage if your about 20 yards from the target...but only if it hits. Plus thier Hell to Re-load...You best bet would be to fire at close range at about 15-20 feet. My personal suggesting it to perhaps have a Sawed off wide barreled Musket to be used as a blunderbuss for distance.
Now we can either Agree with this Information and continue with our epic Storyline and live happily ever after...Or...we can send me PM's and debate this information further until we reach some sort of agreement based on historical information you provide me...lets try to keep it as close to realism for Redwall As possible.
