Khana followed the Skipper as he explained some basic information for the position. "You'll be paid handsomely if you do your job well...and if money concerns you... " the Skipper began. "Money's fine and all, but as long as I got a place to sleep and food to eat, I'll be happy, Pops. Cause at the moment, I'm broke! Haha," he said jokingly, his woes forgotten, and his search for work over. However, he had no idea what to expect. In fact, he had never been out to sea before...
OOC: Okay, where to next? I have a funny idea for the ship, whenever it heads out. I hope you'll find it just as funny! Oh, and Pops is just a nickname, cause Khana's a small bit immature. Unless you would rather not have it at all. Either way's fine with me.

"Money's fine and all, but as long as I got a place to sleep and food to eat, I'll be happy, Pops. Cause at the moment, I'm broke! Haha,"
The Skipper reached into his Haversack at his side and pulled out a small bag with coins. "Not a problem there..." he said lobbing the bag to Khana. The Skipper had more than enough coins to his name....he hardly used them except for buying food and drink, as well as supplies for the ship...but never anything for pleasure. He had given that life up long ago...
As they approached the dock, The Skipper's ship The Lancebreaker could be seen. It was hard to miss seeing it was the largest ship at the dock. It had about 44 guns total on board 20 on each side 2 triple cannons at the front and 2 small guns on the back. They were hardly ever used and the hatches on the side of the ship were hardly opened except if the crew was trading good with a trade ship. The Lancebreaker was big enough to be a flagship! The hull of the ship had a half inch plate of iron down the center which would be used for ramming ships in the side. The skipper hardly ever did this though. He had only done it twice in his time and it was a big risk every time...
"Your new home..." he said stopping right in front of it. "That is...if you choose to stay..." He said glancing over at him from the corner of his eye. "Well...come aboard!"

Khana caught the bad and could feel the weight of the coins inside. It was a lot heavier than any payment he had gotten for other jobs. He nodded, tying the bag to his belt. "Thank you!" he said in a pleased tone. As they drew closer to the docks, and the sea air became stronger, ships began to come into view. All manor of ships, in all shapes and conditions lined the docks, yet one stood out amongst them all. At the very end of the dock they were know walking on was a huge ship with iron plates and multiple gun hatches. It was the largest ship he had seen in his life, and yet it seemed surreal. "Your new home..." the Skipper said looking at the ship. "That is...If you choose to stay..." "Of course I'll stay!" he exclaimed, possibilities run through his mind. "I'd be a fool not to!" "Well...Come aboard!" the Skipper said, moving forward, with Khana close behind.

Skipper stepped on the deck. Immediately, everybeast onboard acknowledged him. "Hoi Skip!" "Welcome back Skip!" "Hey Skip! Whos the the scrawny fella'?!" "Doesn't look like he could take tha' sea life! Bahahaha!" "He's still wet behind the 'ears Skip!"
The Skipper simply grinned and ignored them. "Make yourself at home...mate. We'll shove off soon..." He said heading into his cabin. An otter who stood behind Khana point a claw and poked the back of his head. He leaned in next to his ear. "You gonna be able to handle this life....?" he asked, being actually curious.

As the two walked on the deck, calls raised up from the crew. They were all aimed at the Skipper, but a few were about him. "Hey, Skip! Who's the scrawny fella'?!" one asked. It was true he was not very muscular, and tall, but he was nothing compared to the Skipper, or even the rest of the crew. "Doesn't look like he could take tha' sea life! Bahahaha!" Khana had no idea of what to expect of the sea life, but he figured he could handle himself. After all, the Skipper had seen enough promise in him to invite him aboard the ship. "He's still wet behind the 'ears, Skip!" Khana sighed. Of course he would have to deal with demeaning nicknames or comments, but he wasn't anything he wasn't used to. After all, it was the truth, whether he liked it or not. "Make yourself at home...mate. We'll shove off soon..." the Skipper said, heading into his cabin. "Hey, Pops!" he called after him, "What exactly am I supposed to do?" But the older otter was already out of sight. Khana sighed, slouching where he stood. Suddenly he felt a sharp poke in the back of his head, and the presence of another beast leaning in towards him. "You gonna be able to handle this life....?" it asked. Khana spun on the spot, and came face to face with another otter, a curious look on his face. Fixing his composure, Khana stood straight. "I can handle this. Piece of cake!" he said. "And who are you?"

"I can handle this. Piece of cake!" he said. "And who are you?"
"Call me one-eye..." the otter said. He had a patch over his left eye and was missing a finger on his left paw."I'm the ship's head cook...And Gunsmaster below deck...so you'll know why your food will taste hot..." he said giving the younger otter a hefty pat on the back and walking off.
From atop the helm an otter stood overlooking the crew. This was an otter very close to the age of the Skipper if not a couple years younger. He was slightly less muscular than the Skipper was but still could be very taunting. He had no physical marking or tattoo's of any kind with the exception of a scar here and there on his arms. He walked over to the edge of the railing and called down to the young Otter. "Hey! You! Why are you standing around!?"

Khana looked up at the otter on the helm, and stuttered as he responded. "I'm Khana. Pops just brought me aboard," he said. "But I haven't exactly been told what I should be doing... This is my first time on a ship. Well, a fully crewed ship, at least," he explained.
Great... he thought to himself Haven't even been on this ship a whole minute and I'm already in trouble...

"I'm Khana. Pops just brought me aboard,"
This made the otter perk up. He pointed a claw in Khana's direction. "You will address him as Skipper or you will find my Sword rammed down your throat!" He said furiously pointing. He knew the Skipper wouldn't mind him calling him pops. But it was Blades job to make sure that the Skipper was treated with respect...he was First Mate after all...
"But I haven't exactly been told what I should be doing...
Blade drew his sword and motioned to him threateningly. "Get yer rudder bellow deck and mop out the Brig! Hows that!?! Or should I just go back to my first idea and put ya on a spit!?!"

His first response was to talk back, but he knew this one was not one to mess with. "Sorry. Just a habit of mine," he said, explaining the nickname. "And the Brig sounds much more appealing compared to the end of a sword, so that's what I'll do," the end of the sentence having a little bite to it. He looked around till he found a door, that he hoped went below deck, and headed towards it. He opened it and started walking down the stairs that followed.

"And the Brig sounds much more appealing compared to the end of a sword, so that's what I'll do,"
Blade gritted his teeth and tossed his sword hitting the deck mere inches from the young otter's footpaw before the door closed. He wasn't really mad. he just wanted the otter so show some respect.
Down below on the first deck, was the mess hall. The crew weren't actually eating at the moment but cleaning getting ready for the voyage...wherever it may be...One-eye was below here, issuing complaints to the crew. "Watchit! Be careful with that! You don't know how much that cos-.....Nevermind...."
