"Never been on a boat at sea before. Been on grounded boats plenty, but this is a different story..." He tried to laugh. "Kinda pathetic. An otter that gets sea sick..."

"Kinda pathetic. An otter that gets sea sick..."
"Eh....Not really matey..." he said, throwing a side glance at him. "I used to be a River otter ya know? Born and...well...born an' self raised actually..." He said looking back out to sea. "I was a land otter till I was 26...Skipp found me...and I keel hualed over tha' side for about a week...you'll get use to it..." He said thinking back on the past.
Khana smiled at the thought of Blade leaning over the railing, puking his lungs out. He quickly erased the smile, so Blade wouldn't see, but it did make him feel a bit better.

Blade tended to ramble on about his past. He wasn't as secretive as Undertaker or the Skipper was though he did have much to hide in his heart. Painful things that he didn't like other to know about him. Such was the truth about much of the Skipper's crew. There was a dark piece of history to all of them that only the skipper kept between them. Its what made the skipper's crew one of the strongest force to fight against. Over 400 beast with dark past' and nothing to loose.
Blade looked behind him at Khana, Curious as to his own beginnings. "Ya know matey...I don't know anythin' about'cha..." he said turning around and leaning into the wheel, obviously knowing how to handle the massive ship. He would feel the tilt and angle of the wave and lean his body, turning the wheel in the correct position to steer the ship. "How did you come ta' join tha' crew?" He asked, tilting to the side.
Khana frowned. "I've done basically mercenary work my entire life. My father was a ship-wright, and he wanted me to take up that trade, but it was too...Dull," he said. "I wanted something more than a simple existence. So... I left home. Started taking jobs, and teaching myself how to fight." He looked down. "But times started to get hard. I was running out of food, and jobs were scarce...I came to the port, and... That's where Pop's found me." He smiled. "He basically challenged me to a fight. I lost of course, but apparently I did well enough because here I am now..."

"He basically challenged me to a fight. I lost of course, but apparently I did well enough because here I am now..."
Blade grinned at this. This was quiet unusual for the Skipper to do, especially to an otter as young as Khana. "Bahaha!" Blade laughed accidentally tilting the whee the wrong way. " 'e won eh!? 'owd 'e do it this time? What did e' do!?"He said, crossing his arms and leaning forward.
"Well, it was more or less of a mind game," Khana started. "He was playing with me... He even cut himself on my sword... It eventually led to me losing because of a lack of strength and skill... Those swords of his are dangerous, haha!"

"Oh aye!? Haha!" Blade laughed. He had known that The Skipper had that sort of fighting style. He only cut himself on purpose though if it was a spar between a friendly or neutral best...a beast he wasn't sure of yet. The Skipper fought more like a Berserker, often the smell or taste of blood drove him forward and made him a fierce fighter. "
"...Those swords of his are dangerous, haha!"
"Aye they are.." Blade agreed. "When tha' Skipper found me... He challenged me to a spar...I was weak from exhaustion but somehow managed to plunge mah' cutlass in his stomach. A good 5 four inches too! I thought I had him...'e just yelled and kicked me away. 'e's a touch beast he is...it was all i could do to stay alive that day...That beast as nothing ta' live fer'..." He said cutting himself off realizing he spoke too much of the Skipper. He quickly changed topics.
"Now 'ow about you 'eh?" he asked. "You think your up fer this life?"
Khana didn't answer at first. He was saddened at the fact that what Blade said was in a way true. The Skipper really didn't care whether he was hurt or worse. Khana frowned. What a sad existence, he thought. But...There has to be something that Pops holds dear...If not, then why bother at all? He looked up to see Blade still eying him. "Oh! Sorry..." he stammered, slightly embarrassed. "well," he began. "I think this will give me what I want. I want to experience lots of things. And whether I'm ready or not, this is how I'm going to get to reach my goal. I don't care what happens, I just don't wanna be coped up for the rest of my life. Dying in a fight sounds much more thrilling than dying an old beast."
(Sorry for the delay. Life got in the way. A long one for ya, to make p for it.)
